Synopsis
Puaada is a romantic comedy Punjabi movie that has gained much attention and popularity in recent times. Directed by Rupinder Chahal and produced by Atul Bhalla, Puaada features some of the top actors of Punjabi cinema, including Ammy Virk, Sonam Bajwa, and Anita Devgan. The film was released on 12th August 2021 and has been appreciated by audiences for its light-hearted storyline and humorous dialogues. Plot
The story of Puaada is set in a rural Punjabi village, where Jaggi (Ammy Virk), a carefree and mischievous young man, falls in love with Raunak (Sonam Bajwa), a beautiful and intelligent girl. Raunak is the daughter of Sarpanch Harnek Singh (played by veteran actor Sukhwinder Chahal), while Jaggi is the son of Harnek Singh’s arch-rival, Chaudhary Shamsher Singh (Jaswinder Bhalla).
Despite the enmity between their families, Jaggi and Raunak decide to get married. They seek the help of their friends, who devise a plan to convince their families to accept their relationship. The plan involves staging a fake fight between Jaggi and Raunak, which is caught on camera and goes viral on social media.
As a result, the families agree to settle their differences and allow Jaggi and Raunak to get married. However, their happiness is short-lived, as a new twist in the plot unfolds. Jaggi’s ex-girlfriend Preeto (played by Anita Devgan) makes a re-entry into his life, creating chaos and confusion. Jaggi must now choose between his past and his present and decide whom he truly loves.
