Synopsis
“Gol Gappe” is a Punjabi movie directed by Smeep Kang and produced by Deepak Mukut and Manik Bedi. It follows the story of Sukha, a young man who dreams of opening his own restaurant but faces financial and societal obstacles. His life takes a turn when he meets Jasleen, who encourages him to pursue his dream. However, their relationship is opposed by Jasleen’s father. Sukha participates in a cooking competition to prove his worth, where he faces tough competition from renowned chef Raj. The movie explores themes of pursuing one’s dreams, love, family, and societal norms.
Plot
The movie revolves around the life of Sukha (Binnu Dhillon), a young and carefree guy who lives in a village with his mother and sister. Sukha is passionate about making gol gappe (a popular Indian street food), and he dreams of opening his own restaurant one day. However, he faces various obstacles in his journey, including financial constraints and societal norms.
One day, Sukha meets Jasleen (Ihana Dhillon), a beautiful girl who is working in a multinational company. Jasleen is impressed by Sukha’s gol gappe and encourages him to pursue his dream. The two soon fall in love, but their relationship is opposed by Jasleen’s father, who disapproves of Sukha’s social status.
To prove his worth to Jasleen’s father, Sukha participates in a cooking competition, where he faces tough competition from Raj (Rajat Bedi), a renowned chef. The rest of the movie follows Sukha’s journey as he overcomes various obstacles and wins the competition.
